Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use TOPDA (topda.kr, the “site”). By using the site, you agree to them.
1. What the site provides
The site provides calculators and checklists for working out the amounts involved in a Korean property transaction, articles explaining how to read those results, and transaction data compiled from public sources. There are no accounts and no charge for use.
The site does not act as a real estate broker or appraiser, and does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. It does not arrange transactions or represent any party.
2. Calculator results are estimates
Every figure a calculator produces is an estimate based on the values you enter. It may differ from the amount actually assessed, billed, or approved. Tax is finally determined by the tax authority, and a loan limit by the lender's own underwriting.
Each calculator states the statutes and rates it applies, together with the date they were checked. Changes made after that date may not be reflected, so confirm the current rules with the responsible authority before you act.
3. Data sources and their limits
Transaction prices, household counts, official assessed values, and price indices come from public data published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Real Estate Board. The site presents that data in processed form and does not warrant its accuracy or completeness.
Fields absent from the public data are left blank rather than estimated. When a collection run fails, the previous value is kept and gaps are not backfilled with recent figures. Complexes with few recorded transactions are labelled as such.
4. Using the board
Posts and comments on the board are visible to other visitors unless marked private. You are responsible for what you post.
Posts may be removed without prior notice if they:
- infringe someone's rights or are defamatory;
- are advertising, promotion, or repeated spam unrelated to the site;
- contain another person's personal information; or
- break the law.
Do not post personal or sensitive information. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored.
5. Copyright
TOPDA holds the rights to the articles, calculation logic, and page design it produces. Quotation with attribution is permitted; ask first before reproducing a full article or redistributing content commercially.
Public data remains the property of the issuing agency and is subject to that agency's terms. You keep the rights to anything you post on the board.
6. Advertising
The site carries Google AdSense advertising to cover running costs. TOPDA is not responsible for the content of those ads or for the products and services advertisers offer. Advertising cookies are covered in the Privacy Policy.
7. External links
The site links out to statutes, agency guidance, and other external pages. TOPDA is not responsible for the content or operation of linked sites.
8. Limits of liability
The site exists to provide information. It is not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of its content, or for their consequences. Consult a lawyer, a licensed tax accountant, a licensed broker, or a qualified financial institution before committing to a contract, a tax filing, or a loan.
The site is provided free of charge and may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, faults, or interruptions to the public data feeds it relies on.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the change and its effective date will be posted on this page. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes fall to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
